Yes. The LC9 application delivery cloud has been designed to integrate into your existing environment. So it doesn't matter if you want just one application or all of your applications delivered from LC9, we can cater for your requirements.
The LC9 Cloud platform has been built using enterprise class infrastructure and solution components. Backed by a 99.99% availability SLA, you can rest assured your applications will be available whenever you need them.
You can access your applications from nearly any internet connected device - PC, laptop, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Windows Mobile.
Yes. LC9 manages the underlying infrastructure that the application runs on (e.g. servers, network etc). You can still configure your applications to run the way you want them to run. LC9 can provide assistance and the management of your apps for you if you desire.
Applications will run comparably to how they run on your existing PC. In fact, more often than not, applications will run faster than what they do on your PC due to the powerful servers running in LC9.
Setting up additional users to access these applications can happen more or less immediately. For applications in your own Customer App Library, setting up access to additional users may take a little longer depending on the application. Additional users will be added onto your monthly bill seamlessly.
Yes. We have two types of application libraries - LC9 App Library and Customer App Library. Any applications that don't exist in the LC9 App Library can be setup within the Customer App Library that is specific for you. Our experienced team will consult with you to validate the application and ensure that it will function correctly and efficiently on the LC9 Cloud. Once implemented, Customer applications will run just like the standard LC9 applications.
It's possible to take advantage of any existing licences and for this to be reflected in the price of the service. For our LC9 App Library we get licences at a low, bulk cost and so there will be a limit to how much using your existing licences can save us (and therefore in the saving that we can pass on to you). However, for any bespoke applications that you chose to host with us in the Customer App Library, the cost savings generated by your existing licences would be more significant.
Depending on your specific scenario, our experienced consultants can advise on how best to ensure connectivity to your premises. LC9 can provide a vast array of network links to suit many different purposes. In the event that you do lose internet connectivity while you are working on your application, your application will remain running on the LC9 Cloud for a period of time. When you reconnect, your application will come back exactly how it was running prior to being disconnected.
In short, LC9 hosted applications offer unparalleled security and redundancy by utilising numerous approaches. Firstly, because all data resides in our data centres rather than on local machines, it cannot be lost or stolen, nor is it subject to individual hardware failure. Similarly, because the applications are constantly backed up, data cannot be accidentally erased or corrupted. Secondly, the data is transmitted using industry-standard SSL encryption, as used for online banking and other secure web providers. This means that it's impossible for outside parties to view the data being streamed from our data centres to you. Finally, we run multiple data centres on a highly available, fully resilient, constantly mirrored, grid computing model to ensure 99.99% availability even in the unlikely event of a disaster at one of our data centres.
Our data centres are totally secure, in all respects. In terms of power, all data centres have multiple power feeds from separate substations, primary and secondary power distribution units and standby power generators onsite. In terms of physical security, all data centres have extensive CCTV, biometric and card reader access on all interior and exterior doors and are staffed 24x7x365.
All data is stored on our enterprise class, redundant Storage Area Network (SAN). This environment can tolerate numerous failures itself however we additionally ensure all data is backed up nightly as per our Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure your data is safe and secure.
There are some applications that typically exhibit some issues when operating in this type of environment. Examples of these include graphically intense or video streaming applications. If you currently run applications that may fall into this category, please speak to us as we have some other options for delivery that may still provide the business benefits without the restrictions.
